Since we wanted to try something that is considered a trendy sport here in our area, we looked for a place where as few people as possible could watch us fail and laugh at us. To be precise, we are talking about the so-called paddling. So, we reserved appropriate sports equipment online at Palmetto State Park for our first attempts. Unfortunately, due to a network transmission error, we booked the equipment twice, which was kindly recognized by the rental company. And so we unintentionally ended up with two training Sundays. But that was also good.
While Matthias opted for the extremely difficult canoeing, the girls dared to take on the relatively easy paddling board. -> If you can surf, you can paddle (only none of us has never stood on a surfboard).
But first, the beautiful park was taken into sight, and it is really incredibly varied.
Water sports trial – the first
After the first successful and sometimes quite wet attempts (that is, for those people who opted for the easier sport), it was certain for us … This will be repeated, and next time we still take grill stuff to test one of the numerous set up fixed stand grills in the park.
Water sports trial – the second
After the friendly water sports equipment rental company sent us a voucher for our overpaid money, we set out to try again. (By the way, we now know the central access code for all equipment and could theoretically always get the stuff for free, but we are honest people).
And since we were already experienced water sports enthusiasts, we knew what was coming. So upon (not in) the lake.
After we have now one-hour sporty maximum performances produced (the pictures prove it finally very impressively), now still another grill test was announced (Bratwurst with Sauerkaut and Pretzel cookies – only beer would have been missing, and we would have appeared like in Bavaria).
