At the GTHS (German Texas Heritage Society), the traditional German Christmas market with mulled wine, bratwurst, and all kinds of German-influenced decorative goods takes place at the beginning of December. And we will also be there as kuehne-photo.com with our photo booth, which we have been preparing for weeks.
Months before the event, we started thinking about how to set up our stand and made various decorative materials. Our apartment was practically transformed into a photo studio with an integrated craft workshop, which Santa Claus and his helpers would certainly have enjoyed.
We tried out various backdrops with different accessories and changing lighting to find the best version for our photo booth at this year’s Christmas market.
On the event day, we struggled out of bed early in the morning, loaded the car, and made our way to the GTHS. Numerous dealers and helpers had already gathered here, and we were given a great spot right at the entrance, which had only been completed the day before. Now everything was quickly unloaded and set up so that we could get started. Perhaps we should have tested our internet connection before then we would have been ready to go at the opening. Unfortunately, we were a few minutes late, but shortly after the opening, everything went smoothly.
We hadn’t expected so many interested people, so the event was a complete success. The other participants were also very busy.
In general, it was a great event, and we are already looking forward to the upcoming events.
