At the beginning of December, it was time again for a mom-child – trip. But, unfortunately, dad didn’t want to come along because the journey for this day trip seemed a bit too time-consuming (he was still in Germany). But for Celina, it should be a surprise because she did not know until their arrival what mom had planned there.
The trip led to Montgomery in eastern Texas (3h drive from Austin). Here is the sanctuary for injured, sick, or old wolves and wolfdogs, which otherwise would have no chance of survival. Also, often animals from not species-appropriate attitudes or private households are taken up and cared for. They can then spend the rest of their lives in this “shelter” in good care.
