Celina loves bats more than anything else, which is why caves are generally one of our must-see destinations. And the “Cave of Legends,” as it is also called, must not be missed. This state park is only 1.5 hours north of Austin and proved very convenient, so a short trip was possible without a long journey.
We took part in a guided tour of the cave labyrinth here. At a narrower passage, we had to let an oncoming group pass. So we waited. And suddenly, a young lady looked at Andrea in complete surprise. It was Sue, whom we had met and visited on our summer trip to Austin. Well, the world is a village, after all.
Despite the somewhat gloomy weather, the nearby lookout tower offered a beautiful landscape view.
