After an eternity of restrictions and total lockdown, it was slowly possible to retake some trips at the end of April. The state parks opened their gates again (under the restriction of the number of visitors and an exclusive online pre-booking option) and invited them to stay in nature. The beaches also gradually reopened, and for us, of course, that meant only one thing … GO TO THE SEA!
Galveston Island State Park
Early in the morning, we went by car in the direction of Houston, and after about 3.5 hours, we reached the Gulf of Mexico. Many others had the same idea and were on the road with their partly adventurous-looking vehicles.
Jamaica Beach
In the early afternoon, we continued along the coast towards Jamaica Beach to breathe some beach air and dip our feet into the cool seawater.
